Waterbead Fishing Game

DIY Magnetic Fishing Game with Waterbeads

This is one of those playtimes completely inspired by Vinnie's pretend play. He had been playing with the waterbeads and was using a pipecleaner to pretend fish with. I left him to it, not wanting to interrupt his play, but put together a little magnetic fishing activity for next time.

Homemade Fishing Game

I put the paper into plastic sleeves before cutting out the fish shapes to protect the paper a little, then added a paperclip to each one and a popsicle stick with a magnet number for a fishing rod.

The kids had more fun than I was even expecting with this - I'm always surprised at the joy they get from such simple things, but I love it too!

  2. I love how you did it in the water beads! I've done this before, but just on a table--looks so fun!
