An Invitation to Draw

Invitation to Play Creative Mark-Making

I'm just popping in on my (sort of) screen-free day to share a little Invitation to Play I set out for the kiddos this week. I laid out a roll of paper, markers, felt pens, dot stampers and highlighters and a bunch of colourful magnetic letters (that pretty much get used in all our playtimes lately) - I had no plan for the letters, I thought Vinnie might like to draw round them (he's quite into drawing circles lately) or maybe colour on them. The point of an invitation is open-ended play, so it doesn't matter what I was planning - just that the set up looks inviting and attractive to a kiddo.
