|Olympic Logo Preschool Paintings|
I know it's a bit early to be sharing our Olympics Crafts but we've got the fever in our house - daddy is performing in the London Ceremonies so we're all about flag waving, torch holding, circle painting and medal making at the moment!
I have a great bunch of projects planned, to introduce the concept of multiculturalism, exploring different countries a flags etc, but first I thought we'd start with something simple - Olympic Logo Printing.
I set out a bunch of cardboard tubes and bottle tops (we've also done circle printing in the past with glasses, cotton reels and cookie cutters) and paint in the different colours in the Olympic Logo - the kids got stamping. With older kids be sure to talk about the symbolism of the different colours used - this lesson was completely lost on the toddlers, but it's an interesting conversation point for older kids!
My friends are setting up a Mini-Olympics for the kids in our local park this Summer too - what fun do you have planned to celebrate?
