Exploring the Sticky Easel

You might remember a while back the kiddos made some Process Art on our DIY Sticky Table - we had loads of contact paper left over so I was inpsired by this post from Teach Preschool to put together a Sticky Easel!

I put out some construction paper shapes and a bowl of cut up straws from Vinnie's Cut & Snip Tray while he was napping (the nap bit was neccessary as it was really difficult taping the contact paper to the chalkboard on my own and I might have swore. A lot bit.)

Once he got underway I left him to it, when I came back he had made 'a stegosaurus with lots of suns in the sky'. If he hadn't ripped all the straws off and tore the contact paper down so he could draw on the chalkboard I'm pretty sure I would have hung this masterpiece in a giant gold frame with spotlights and a name plaque!

  1. Ohhhh I have to try this. We love our sticky back plastic at the moment. T is fascinated by it and will bring her various toys to be stuck on it and pull them off.

Thank you for linking to Tuesday Tots

  2. Great idea, with the straws. I haven't tried that yet. We did a sticky board on the window this past week to play with light.
