Carrot Patch Cookies - Virtual Book Club

Carrot Patch Cookies Recipe

As always, I'm a little behind with this month's Virtual Book Club activity. Every month Kristina of Toddler Approved suggests a book to read with your kiddo, then you work on an activity/craft/story expander to play along. This month is The Carrot Seed by Ruth Krauss.

We decided to make some Carrot Patch Cookies inspired by these ones. We spread chocolate icing over some biscuits, then sprinkled on crushed Oreos. A few orange jelly beans and some snipped up green jelly beans growing out of the ground and we were done (please don't point out the ironic amount of sugar involved in recreating a vegetable growing!)

We read the story again while enjoying our little snacktime! We've been doing a couple of carrot activities so keep your eyes out in the next week or so to see what else we've been up to!

Now on to the linky - to participate read this month's book, enjoy an activity/craft/recipe etc with your kiddo and come share with us!
