While we're playing with clouds this week Vin and I did some foam cloud painting (inspired by these ones from I can Teach my Child). I mixed roughly equal parts of PVA glue and shaving foam to make a thick gloopy paste, then we made some fluffy cloud designs on blue paper...
I loved the feeling of the mixture, Vin as always, insisted on using a brush - anyone got any tips on messy play for kiddos who don't like getting their hands dirty?!
When the 'paint' had dried it was set but still puffy - I think it would make a good snow painting and I think we'll have a go with adding food colour too.
Lately we've been reading 'Little Cloud by Eric Carle', Vin loves that the cloud turns into lots of pictures and, of course, he wanted a dinosaur
I stuck some of our finished creations up in the kitchen - we don't have blinds in there and the sun is dazzling later in the day, so these are my makeshift sunshades!
