Cardboard Pizza - Play Pretend

CARDBOARD PIZZA

You might remember our Paper Bakery from a few weeks back... well this is our next business venture, the Carboard Pizzeria!

PRETEND PIZZA PLAY

I cut out some cardboard wedge shapes and set out bowls of paper grated cheese, black olives, green peppers, pepperoni, sweetcorn, mushrooms and red tissue paper sauce, then we got to work making our favourite creations...

PRESCHOOL PIZZA CRAFT

While I was putting this together I thought you could probably turn this into some maths play for older kids - using the slices as fractions to show how they all make a whole or numbering the toppings to practise addition and subtraction - plus it would be a lot more fun than the maths we were taught at school!

  1. Cute and looks like a lot of FUN! When I was an elementary art teacher I had my kinders create Paper pizzas in a similar way and they loved it!

  2. This is a great idea for imaginative play, and less expensive than buying the plastic toy store version. I love it! We will be making some cardboard play food in the near future. Thanks for the inspiration!
