Valentines Day Suncatchers

TISSUE PAPER SUNCATCHERS

You saw all those tissue paper petals I cut out for our sensory tub right? Well I had a bajillion offcuts, so I decided to use them in our next 5 Senses of Valentines activity - exploring sight with these Tissue Paper Suncatchers...

VALENTINES SUNCATCHERS

I used the leftover bits of contact paper from our Sticky Table from this mornings post and cut out some construction paper frames (just so you know, I gave the kids a choice of colours, they both chose pink and blue - no gender specifity* here)

SUNCATCHERS FOR VALENTINES DAY

I always get a little smug self satisfaction feeling when I come up with a project that requires very little in terms of effort and resources, but of course there is no satisfaction to be had when there are toddlers in the house - after setting this activity down in front of them, both kids grabbed a fist full of tissue paper, slapped it onto their frames, declared the job finished then chucked the remaining paper over the floor. Consider my smug levels lowered kids.

HEART SHAPED SUNCATCHERS

*yes I made that word up. Yes I have a degree. Yes, it is an English Language degree.
