Tactile Exploration Cards for Babies

TEXTURE CARDS FOR BABIES

I'm pretty sure I've come clean about my craft stash hoarding in the past... it is getting so bad I am saving the tiniest scraps of fabric or paper thinking I will find some playful use for it another day... well today is that day!

TACTILE LEARNING CARDS

I decided to mount all my bits and bobs collection on some card to add to my babyplay toybox - I chopped up an old box and went in search of lots of different colourful tactile scraps to add to them

SENSORY EXPLORATION TEXTURE CARDS

we have sticker foam, sparkly sequin sheets, scrunchy tissue paper, felt strips, foam numbers, neon origami paper, sponge cloth, a giftbow, pretty lace pieces, shiny corrugated card, straws and metallic gold card

BABIES TACTILE SENSORY CARDS

As I was laying them out to photograph I had the urge to touch each one and I had to distract the kiddos from grabbing them too, there's just something about exploring that never really loses it's appeal right?

  1. I made my texture boards about 5 or 6 years ago - they were easy to make and the kids love them. Best of all they have stood up to many many children. I wanted to share them with you.

  2. I just love this idea. Anyone can make with easily available supplies. I have pinned this post. I am a new Pinterest follower visiting from the Sunday Showcase. Vicky from Mess For Less
