Pretend Play - Cardboard Car Park

CARDBOARD CAR PARK

So we've had plenty of one minute roads round here, it was about time we took things up a level!

HOMEMADE CAR PARK PLAYSET

Vin pulled this sheet of cardboard out of the recycling and asked me to make him a tunnel - I think he was hoping for something him and Cc could actually crawl through, but it was a little small for that.

DIY CARPARK PLAYSET

I love projects that are made entirely of stuff I was going to throw away, and any excuse to crack out my Sharpie collection!

PRETEND PLAY CAR PARK

'NCP' is a British car-parking company - they stand around waiting to give you tickets... you can see our little inspector waiting at the entrance... (he's smiling because he's about to rip you off!)

IMAGINATIVE PLAY CAR PARK

I always think that I'm not very good at pretend play - I'm not really into dressing up, the most I can muster is a pathetic sounding dinosaur roar, but give me a mission en miniature and I'm all for it!

What do you think are your play strengths?

  1. LOL I love the car park attendant and you have way too many available car parking spaces for an NCP car park in my town.

I'm finding it easier to play with J the older that he gets - baby play for me is the hardest where you can't pretend and don't know what they are thinking

  2. We LOVE all things made from cardboard boxes.. and the cardboard box toy gets played with sooo much more than other ones. Love your garage!

Thank you for sharing on Kids Get Crafty!

  3. I love this idea. A cardboard box has so many uses, this is a great one. My boys are always asking for a parking garage...this will work and be a fun project too.
I thought I would share what usually happens with our large sized cardboard boxes :)
