Toddler Tinkering Tools

Vin has been really into doing a bit of 'tinkering' lately - he keeps taking the back of the remote off and taking the batteries out - I asked David to to a toolbox raid and put together a little tinkering toolkit for him to play with

we found lots of little screws, nuts and bolts, a few old allen keys, a skatebaord tool, a length of bike chain, and a little spanner and screwdriver - those bits and bobs you keep but never really use

I plan to add a few extra bits to his little kit later in the week, a cardboard tube with some holes drilled in it for screwing into and maybe a chunk of polystyrene for some hammering practise!

As you can see Vin is really into his little set. What do you think, would this be something you'd put together for your kiddos?

  2. I could see my son loving this in the future! Right now he is too little but he has a Home Depot set that he plays with that I picked up at a thrift store. He loves to use his drill and screws!

  5. How fun- real tools. My daughter is also currently into wrenches. There were 2 in the box from her new scooter and she loves to "fix her bicycle" daily. Thanks for linking up to Monday Madness.
