Happy Chinese New Year

CHINESE NEW YEAR HANDPRINT DRAGON

Chinese New Year kind snuck up on me this year, hence this post being a day late! We decided to do a few simple art projects, we ate stir-fry for dinner and attempted to use chopsticks (got to get my hands on those kiddie ones that clip together at the top!)

The handprint dragon is one I found on Activity Village last year - the kiddos actually let me trace round their fingers without fighting and giggling for the first time ever!

CHINESE NEW YEAR COLOURING

I used an online translator to find our Chinese names - I'm almost definitely sure that no Chinese person could read this, but it was fun decorating them with red markers and gold glitter (except Vin decided his would be the less traditional blue and green!)

For lunch I put together this little dragon snack inspired by this one - Vin insists it is a dinosaur, I'm not going to argue with him!

And here's a little green tea cupcake I made this time last year...
