a moment, a masterpiece

I love moments like this, when I have been talking to Vin for weeks and weeks explaining the concept of magnetism - showing him how they stick to the fridge and the radiator but not to the walls or the sofa - I come across this dry-wipe magnet board I bought for some mark-making practise and the magnets I made when we played with our tin can monsters last week.

Completely spontaneous and un-prompted,
it reminds me that all that talking I do isn't just shouting into a void.
And a reminder we always need, children can teach themselves, that's what playing is for.
