our playdough centre

Remember out Autumn playdough? Well this is our Autumn playdough centre...

I used to use this wooden crate to sort Vin's cars and trains collection, but when that got too big, I decided to repurpose it instead.

We have a couple of sets of cookie cutters, a mini-rolling pin, silicone cupcake cases, cut up drinking straws, plastic cutlery and lollipop sticks, magnetic letters, some unpopped popcorn to add an extra sensory element and some Autumn bits and pieces from our nature box...

The playdough is in ziploc bags at the moment, but I have my eye out for some round tupperware tubs - I figure the kiddos will find it easier to open them without my help and I find the plastic bags tend to split after a couple of uses.

I keep the crate in the living room with our other art supplies as I've noticed that they play with stuff more when it's nicely presented and they are able to get at it without having to ask.

I'm working on a Halloween box for next week... any suggestions of things to include?
